Melanoma Surgery – Day 8
I took the sterile strips off my face today, cleaned the area with peroxide, and put Neosporin on my wound. My face has been throbbing and I have shooting pains on and off. The flap of skin that replaced the cut out area is numb. I can feel pressure being applied, but the skin has no feeling.
The shooting pain is probably my skin reestablishing nerve connections and the numbness should go away with time. The one thing that REALLY bothers me is that my neck and face feel very tight. I hope this gets better soon because it’s very bothersome and is beginning to cause pain in my right trapezius and shoulder.
